Question
Is Pico Boulevard in Los Angeles named for Pio Pico or Andres Pico http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andr%C3%A9s_Pico ?
Born a creole?
If we know that he is of very mixed origins, then we definitely cannot assert that he was born a creole. Let us remember that Latin American creoles are those of completely European descent.
Alvarado
Why does the article say Pio Pico was the last Mexican governor of Alta California if he was succeded by Juan Bautista Alvarado in 1837? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.8.252.44 (talk) 20:55, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
Inaccurate date or description
In the "Business Life" section the second paragraph begins, "By the 1850s Pico was one of the richest men of Mexican Alta California."
By 1848, Mexican Alta California was the US territory of California. So either the date is inaccurate (should be 1840s, or even 1830s?), or "Mexican Alta" is an incorrect descriptor for California here.

Helping a friend
I added the section where it shows the subject as a honorable man standing by his friend and paying the cost. John R. Carpenter Jrcrin001 (talk) 09:16, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
