Pollution as Trespass

Has the concept of pollution as a form of trespass been developed? Conceiving trespass as unwelcome encroachment onto another's property, it seems clear that most forms of pollution are acts of trespass. Because trespass is objectionable, and pollution is a form of trespass, pollution is objectionable. Thanks! --Lbeaumont (talk) 19:35, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

well, I guess that would depend greatly on where in the world you are. Not only is trespass defined in different ways in different legislations, but pollution, or the lack of it, are also differently enshrined in law. In England and Wales, for example there is a common law right to have water in any stream or river passing through your curtilage in its natural quality and quantity. In theory thefore pollution is actionable without any reference to trespass.  Velella  Velella Talk   19:48, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I recently obtained two relevant and reliable references on this. See: https://law.lclark.edu/live/files/13154-rhymesfinal-for-websitepdf and http://columbiaclimatelaw.com/files/2019/06/Adler-2019-06-US-Climate-Change-Litigation-in-Age-of-Trump-Year-2-Report.pdf I hope this is helpful. a levels of air pollution are not dangerous to men . It is surplus air pollution that determine weather pollution is dangerous or not.The excess pollution particles remaining in the atmosphere after adjusting pollution content through photo synthesizes surplus pollution- .it gets live and moves ridding through the Conductivity Effect of Nature (movement of air according to density of air) to less polluted nation.(satheeshbabu kollambalath in BOOK silent victims an emerging issue 2014 JNANEWARIPUBLICATION KOZHIKODE — Preceding unsigned comment added by Satkollambalath (talkcontribs) 17:06, 8 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Indirect causes of pollution

I think this article would benefit from more discussion of indirect causes of pollution (i.e., incentives to pollute) and legal efforts to reduce pollution, for example from the law & economics literature. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bookish982 (talkcontribs) 23:31, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Water pollution

Dear writer,

In your article I miss one, to my opinion, very important issue: water pollution. In the Middle Ages this was already a thing of great worry and beer had to be invented or reïnvented to prevent people to get sick when they drank "surface water". And this pullution was not chemical or nonorganic but was made by humans.

Infobox for pollution

Hi all,

I wanted to field out what people would think of an infobox for pollution and its sub-articles?

Thinking of these fields for it:

| name = e.g. water pollution, light pollution, etc.

| image =

| alt =

| caption =

| scale = e.g. global, x countries, etc.

| date = e.g. when the issue came about: industrial era, 1800, etc.

| area of impact = hydrosphere, atmosphere, etc.

| theory = e.g. key theories

| international agreements = e.g. key international agreements, laws, etc.

| major causes = e.g. key aspects causing the issue.

| consequences = e.g. impacts of the pollution.

| organisations = e.g. organisations that aim to counteract the isssues, government, NGOs, etc.

| dewey =

| congress = Jamzze (talk) 19:42, 26 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have never missed such an infobox, and I think it would be very difficult to fill it in succinctly. So I would say: not needed. Just my opinion. EMsmile (talk) 03:35, 29 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Pollution sidebar

I've created a pollution sidebar as the navbox was too far down to make it easily useble to navigate between related pages. Jamzze (talk) 22:11, 26 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
