Date Section Article Notes Resolved
28 November 2018 DYK Corps of Invalids (Great Britain) The "a" should be in the piped link. Yes
Burhan Uray Cite for hook doesn't follow the sentence it's contained in (per DYK rules) and the source says "the timber king" and not "the "Timber King"". Yes
OTD Skanderbeg OTD he arrived at Krujë, according to the article. It's unclear when after that he became the lord.
It was the same day, according to the source at the end of the sentence, so I made it clear in the article. howcheng {chat} 21:43, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
Yes, but moot as it was replaced
Chicago Times-Herald race Date isn't referenced.
It is now. howcheng {chat} 21:43, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
Yes
General Two Ottoman Empire hooks out of three?
Replaced Skanderbeg with Shi Jingtang. howcheng {chat} 21:43, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
Yes
Caption Either "at the Tehran Conference" or "in Tehran", but not "at Tehran"
No, that's fine. See [1], [2], [3], and plenty of examples at [4]. howcheng {chat} 21:43, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
Is it AmEng then? It's definitely not the variant I use. You don't say "Dave was at London" do you? Really??
In this case "Tehran" is shorthand for the conference. If you mean the city, you would say "in Tehran". It's not just US: Imperial War Museum, "Roosevelt at Yalta"; London Review of Books, "Churchill at Yalta", The Evening Standard, "Stalin and Churchill at Yalta"; The Canadian Encyclopedia, "Roosevelt, King, and Churchill at Quebec". howcheng {chat} 23:20, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
There may be some places and events that support the at/in distinction, but Tehran isn't one of them and sounds very strange. Fixed. Stephen 02:23, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
Yes
29 November 2018 DYK Caption No need to overlink Ivanhorod and probably no need to include Ukraine as that's mentioned in the hook. Concision! Yes
Let's Go to the Mall The hook uses Robin Sparkles which redirects to Robin Scherbatsky#Early life whereas the target article uses Robin Sparkles which is piped to Cobie Smulders. Some consistency would be useful. Yes
Shahdiz "in Shahdiz fortress" well "Shahdiz" was a fortress, so saying "Shahdiz fortress" is tautological. Or maybe move "fortress" into a piped link. Or "fortress of Shahdiz". Also has no lead. Yes
Cubbington Pear Tree "the High Speed 2." to my BritEng ears, this is missing a word at the end, like "project" or "development" or "rail link". already fixed
Wang Zhi (pirate) "which he proceeded to dump" concision people! "which he dumped" is just fine. Yes
OTD Battle of Hama It looks to me like the execution of the "Qarmatian leadership" took place sometime later (" Eleven days later, on 13 February, Muhammad and the sahib al-shurta of the capital, Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Wathiqi, presided over the public execution of the Qarmatian leaders ")
Removed "and executed". howcheng {chat} 18:23, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
Yes
Zong massacre The "dumping" of slaves overboard started on this day but continued for days, and the prose in the article states " In total, 142 Africans were killed by the time the ship reached Jamaica".
I've changed it to "began killing 133" but I can already anticipate the complaint about that phrasing. Fish+Karate 11:29, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
Whitman massacre (Two massacres in a row?) "Umatilla" is piped to a redirect. (More than half of the "Outbreak of the violence" - the pertinent section - is unreferenced).
Fixed the piped redirect
References added. howcheng {chat} 18:23, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
Yes
Pong (Pong and Zong in the same set? Only kidding). "first video games" is piped to a redirect. Yes
LaMia Flight 2933 According to the article, this event took place on 28 November, not 29 November.
Don't know how I cocked that up. Replaced with United Nations General Assembly resolution 67/19. howcheng {chat} 18:23, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
Yes
