Katherine "Nina" Keali’iwahamana Rodrigues Rapozo (1936 – ) is a Native Hawaiian singer. She was honored as an inductee of the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame in 2006.

Early life and education

Katherine Keali’iwahamana Rodrigues was born in 1936.[1]

She graduated from Woodbury College in California and returned to Hawaii to become an executive secretary.[2]

Musical career

Producer Jack de Mello discovered Keali’iwahamana during a Hawaii Calls recording session at the Moana Hotel.[1] They recorded together frequently, including on de Mello's Music of Hawaii series.[1]

In August 1982, Keali’iwahamana was appointed musical director of the revived Hawaii Calls program.[3]


Honors and awards

Keali’iwahamana was inducted into the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame in 2006.[4]

In 2005, she was recognized by the City and County of Honolulu as one of 100 influential citizens who have made enduring contributions to Honolulu's history and culture.[5]
