Hi there! I'm a fellow journalist, too! Anyway, I've been editing Wikipedia articles about Congressional members for over a decade. On the Issues and tweets are used regularly in articles regarding the political positions of politicians. First, On the Issues includes content from politician/candidate websites and surveys they have completed. It's a non-partisan, non-profit. Additionally, you can read more about using Twitter as a source, here. The content I utilize supports O'Halleran's political stances without analysis. I was *shocked* to see you revert my edits on Tom O'Halleran's article. You can see other examples of using Twitter and On the Issues, and similar websites - for example - on the articles for Gary Palmer, Kevin McCarthy and Mo Brooks. I am going to revert your reversion, and, if it becomes an issue, I'm happy to support a request for comment. Thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia. Revision as of 02:45, 22 July 2020
Concerning my OK gesture edit. The problem with citation is I'd need to go back in time and not be a poor kid and have a camera with one of the kids I knew doing that particular sign. I would like to formally complain that the rest of the section on it being a white power sign from 4chan is also not sourced as 4chan is a ton of 12 year olds trying to be edgy. The SPLC labeled it a hate sign because of 4chan. It's all wrong and entirely impossible to argue for or against. So I would like to see that disinformation removed as well if you won't leave my personally eyewitness account vs a fregin 4chan post. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chijim70 (talk • contribs) 23:12, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
