I have corrected my inadvertent deletions. I thought it was an error in my editor before I saw the warning notice. Apologies.. Dbmcdonough (talk) 00:22, 30 May 2018 (UTC) |

Welcome!
Hello, Dbmcdonough, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place Help me

April 2014
Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to List of technology centers may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.
- List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
- *Silicon Slopes - SLC International, Salt Lake City, Utah (including Utah County (Provo) and Summit County (Park City) and surrounding areas.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 07:52, 9 April 2014 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Silicon Slopes' Salt Lake City Winter Skyline.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Silicon Slopes' Salt Lake City Winter Skyline.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text

below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 12:28, 15 April 2016 (UTC)

Invitation to participate in study
Hello,
I am E. Whittaker, an intern working with the Scoring Team to create a labeled dataset, and potentially a tool, to help editors deal with incivility when they encounter it on talk pages. We are currently recruiting editors to be interviewed about their experiences with incivility on talk pages. Would you be interested in being interviewed? The interviews should take ~1 hour, and will be conducted over BlueJeans (which does allow interviews to be recorded). If, so, please reply to this message or email me at ewhit@umich.edu in order to schedule an interview. .
Thank you Ewitch51 (talk) 18:27, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

Sandboxes
Hello. Please be sure to include "user:" in the title when creating sandboxes, so that they don't appear in the mainspace. Thanks! JDDJS (talk) 23:53, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
Please stop editing Dbmcdonough/sandbox3 and instead edit User:Dbmcdonough/sandbox3. The first link needs to be deleted because it's in the mainspace, which defeats the whole purpose of using a sandbox in the first point. Thank you. JDDJS (talk) 00:02, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
Thank you! I appreciate the help :) Dbmcdonough (talk) 18:18, 30 May 2018 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. JDDJS (talk) 00:07, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to remove speedy deletion notices from pages you created yourself, as you did at Dbmcdonough/sandbox3, you may be blocked from editing. JDDJS (talk) 00:08, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
