Wikipedia editor Garagepunk66 just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:

Thanks for writing the article about "You'll Never Get to Heaven (If You Break My Heart)" by Dionne Warwick. I'm a big fan of her work in the 60s with Burt Bacharach and Hal David.

Thanks for creating Jelly Jungle (of Orange Marmalade), JGabbard!

Wikipedia editor TheLongTone just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:

Is this where Tangerine Dream got their name??

That's an intriguing thought, but it looks like T.D. predates the song by a year or so.

Supplement to block notice

The block notice and log entry for this user isn't too informative, but if anyone wishes to view the discussion which lead to this user being indefinitely blocked, it can be found at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive1096#JGabbard spreading white genocide conspiracy theory on South African farm attacks article. They were not actually banned, and some editors expressed hope that they would learn, do some self-reflection and reconsider some of their unacceptable views. Even so, some of those editors did still consider that an indefinite block was in order, but not a full siteban. Consensus seemed to be for an indefinite block, not so much an outright ban, but that is just my assessment of it, please read it yourself, as my assessment may not be the same as others. I'm noarchiving this to pin it, as it is going to be of interest to anyone trying to view this page. If the user doesn't want this here, they are welcome to remove it. You were not entirely forthcoming about your block. You will need to address the issues discussed in the ANI thread permalinked above. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 00:37, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Your TBAN will need to be appealed to the Community, eventually I don't think you will be able to kill both birds with one stone. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 00:42, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

information Administrator note Believe unblock conditions should include existing TBANs from the subjects of vaccination, conspiracy theorists, and COVID-19, all broadly construed. Needs to seriously address the reasons for this block I was gonna propose a TBAN- "they really need to stay away from any political article, including BLPs, which fall under disputed areas such as those governed by AP2, climate change, pseudoscience, etc". They have proposed to edit about music, an area in which they were productive. Perhaps that can be the foundation for unblocking.-- Deepfriedokra (talk) 01:02, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

To elaborate further, I have expanded the content of my appeal:
I would like to appeal a block from four months ago, please. Upon self-reflection, I made the error of inappropriately using a Talk Page as a soapbox. More specifically, I made some inflammatory sociopolitical comments about a government and its policies without sufficient reliable substantiation, which was disruptive. I will assiduously endeavor to refrain from doing so in the future, on any and all such pages. And if possible, I would also appeal the topic ban from a couple years previous, since both were of indefinite duration. The unrelated T-ban concerned making changes to a sensitive article without consensus, which I will also seek to avoid ongoing. Both are unrelated to my primary editorial focus, which is music 98% of the time. I sincerely apologize for these breaches of decorum. Thank you for your consideration. - JGabbard (talk) 12:36, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
