Edit-a-thon invite
On May 3rd, the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts will be hosting a Native American and Chinese Art edit-a-thon from 9:00-5:00 pm.  As you may have already heard, the Wikipedia community lost an invaluable member of the community last month. Adrianne Wadewitz was a feminist scholar of 18th-Century British literature, and a prolific editor of the site. As part of a worldwide series of tributes, New England Wikimedians, in conjunction with local institutions of higher learning, have created three edit-a-thons that will be occurring in May and June. Hi. We're into the last five days of the Women in Red World Contest. There's a new bonus prize of $200 worth of books of your choice to win for creating the most new women biographies between 0:00 on the 26th and 23:59 on 30th November. If you've been contributing to the contest, thank you for your support, we've produced over 2000 articles. If you haven't contributed yet, we would appreciate you taking the time to add entries to our articles achievements list by the end of the month. More account issues
I'll leave this message unsigned so it doesn't get archived. I've had about 100 failed login attempts on my account in the last few days. This has been happening for awhile, but the pace seems to have increased recently. Considering all the attempts, I'm not sure how long it will be before someone is successful in breaking the password. It's not terribly easy to guess, but I can't really evaluate the difficulty against any method someone might use.
