I just got out of therapy and feel fantastic! My parents, who are both doctors, have been keeping an eye on me. They both concurred that I have changed significantly and I don't really have a propensity to repeatedly perform the same activities. I have high hopes for this information because I think I'd be ready to return to Wikipedia after a year or more! Nearly a year has passed since I have been banned. I started uploading rapper mug pictures in August 2021 and never stopped. People warned me repeatedly to quit, but I disregarded them and carried on. Another incident that led to my ban concerned activities that took place in 2019, when I was 16 years old. Despite editors' requests that I refrain from doing so, I frequently posted false Beatles covers to articles. I disregarded their advice and kept acting carelessly. After that, instead of trying to stay away from Wikipedia while I was banned, I frequently engaged in Wikipedia:Sockpuppetry, initially by using the accounts user:TheCleanestBestPleasure and user:Beatlesfan210. I also used a variety of different IP addresses. I was unable to contain myself because I missed updating Wikipedia so much. I have lied to several editors on Wikipedia during my tenure there as well. I was a horrible human being back then. On a positive note, I started to edit the To Catch a Preadtor wiki and the primary admin promoted me to the positions of Bureaucrat and Content Moderator - https://to-catch-a-predator.fandom.com/wiki/User:OhCawd - It's my responsibility to prevent vandalism, POV, or the posting of memes about these child predators on any of the articles. If my account was unblocked, I would look for guidance from seasoned editors I have spoken to or collaborated with in the past. I apologize deeply for what led to my ban.

Request reason:

It has been nearly a year since I was banned from Wikipedia. Starting in August 2021, I continued to upload rapper mugshots without stopping. I received numerous warnings from people to stop, but ignored them and continued to do it. Another instance that resulted in my ban involved events that occurred when I was 16 years old in 2019. I posted countless fake Beatles covers to articles despite editors' warnings not to do so. I didn't listen to them and continued my reckless behavior. I was only recently diagnosed with Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), which I now realize was a huge factor that contributed to my disruptive and repetitive behavior that lead to my ban. Subsequently, rather than making an effort to avoid using Wikipedia while I was suspended, I repeatedly engaged in Wikipedia:Sockpuppetry, first by using the accounts user:TheCleanestBestPleasure and user:Beatlesfan210, and then by using a variety of different IP addresses. I really missed editing Wikipedia so much that I lost all self-control. During my time on Wikipedia, I have also lied to a number of editors. Back then, I was a terrible person. To get around the system, I would pretend to be at school even if I wasn't. During my time of Wiki, I completed my freshman year of college and began my sophomore year last month. I completed a variety of classes that helped me broaden my vocabulary and improve my conversational abilities. I made a lot of mistakes on Wikipedia, but I also did a lot of good. I have improved and created over fifty articles to Good Article status. I would be in support of a TBAN to not upload any images of any kind for a year. If my account was unblock, I would finish updating Pop Smoke's remaining Wikipedia music articles to Good Article Status, start editing video game articles like Five Nights at Freddy's, and seek mentorship from experienced editors who I have contacted or worked with in the past. I am very sorry for what caused my ban. If I could have controlled my serious urgencies and tendencies back then, I would still be editing and not banned. I am now going to start attending therapy so I could get help with my problems that have led me to get me banned from what I loved doing for many years.

Since you are community banned, no adminstrator may unilaterally lift the block. There must be a community discussion about it. Is this the statement you wish to be transferred to an appropriate forum? I might suggest that any request from you to lift the ban is more likely to succeed if you first go through at least some of the therapy you say you intend to go through. 331dot: Can you actually withdraw the appeal? Thinking about it now, I think I may have posted this too soon. The people who opposed are right. I have done so many great things while banned like experience college for the first time, go on dates with different girls, go to college parties, and get a new jobs. But what discourages me is that people say that I can come back years from now. I am going to be done with college by the then, applying for law school. My life would just be starting. Sadly, I think this is the end of the road for me as it looks I have now hope in returning while I still have time. Thanks a lot for posting the appeal.

Bison X: I'm almost 20 and this is the start of my life. Now that I'm an adult, I regrettably won't have time for anything. After this fall starts, I am going enroll in 5 or 6 classes per semester so I could get my bachelors degree before I turn 21. And the fact that people want me to wait years when I will already be in my mid-20s, have graduated from college, and be employed at my dream career makes me extremely depressed. I just figured I'd file an appeal now, while I'm still young and not too busy with schoolwork and working.

I neglected to indicate in my request for a ban lift that I had already completed two weeks of counseling. I've already completed the third week of therapy. My last appointment will be next week because my job allows up to four treatment sessions. My therapist believes I've made remarkable improvement since we started working together. My parents have been monitoring me; they are both doctors. They both agreed that I have changed considerably don't have a strong tendency to repeat the same actions over and over. I have high hopes for this knowledge because I believe I would be prepared to rejoin Wikipedia after over a year! I wish I had done this when I was 17 and 18, since it would have prevented my suspension from being caused by my OCD and other issues. What do you currently think? In less than three weeks, I will begin the fall semester of my second year of college by taking seven classes. I'm going to try to finish my associate's degree by the end of the year. Your ban appeal will need to eventually go to WP:AN, so you will need to concisely and succinctly yet thoroughly address the reasons for your block. WALLSOFTEXT are a major dissatisfier at AN.
