Overmans cited two sources for his figures that are unavailable in the US. They should help us determine the details behind his figures. If you get a chance, check with the German library system to see if they are available.

Duke of Pomerania

It's a nice article, and I know that I shouldn't cast stones because I know no German whatsoever, but, can you go back and look again at phrases where the English word makes the meaning unclear. To give the example of the word that made me give up an attempt to edit it into standard English, what did he do with those mercenaries? Invade the town? quarter them on the town?
