Restore Anyone who watches any flash animations on a regular basis will see how popular and influential Madness Combat is. Gelsamel 13:13, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

Failure to restore this will result in lots of pissed people. I expect the Internet Military to get involved in this. Stop taking history away from the single most influential flash animation ever made.

Strongest Possible Restore I think a worldwide fanbase is enough to warrent this excellant flash it's own article Infernomaster01

Strongest Possible Restore it has a significant fanbase as far as flash animations go, and it also has a complicatd enough story line to warrant an "explaination" page. i've always been so incredibly impressed at how practically everything and anything seems to have its own wikipedia page. and i understand that there are server limits, and some stuff just isn't worth wasting resources on. but you guys are seriously killing the encylopedia. the one thing wikipedia has over traditional media encylopedias is its ability to encompass a much wider range of articles than possible in print form from well researched and typed out articles from voluntary writers, and you guys are stopping that. if it was written in a shitty way i could understand. but the original writer and subsequent contributors actually put quite a bit of effort into making it a proper article, if you could see it for yourselves. just because you don't like/understand/never heard of something, doesn't mean its crap. this is ridiculous. -Ronny.

Strongest Possible Restore - This is one of the most popular series of flash animations onNewgrounds, having amassed over one million views apiece, and nearly ten million as a whole--and that's not counting the Madness Interactive game, which has amassed over six million views by itself. And that's just on Newgrounds. Rainbringer 14:51, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

Strongest Possible Restore Along the same lines as Ronny. Each of Krinkels works that are to do with the madness series have had over 100,000 views. Wether or not that constitutes a fan-base or not is beyond me, but the series is popular, with 4 of his films reached over one million views. There are many mods out there that have been created and hosted on sites such as http://www.madnesscombat.com/ and http://rayne.hellawack.net/.
In my opinon, this series is one of the stronger flash series that has been around. TheSeraph

Restore if Flash animation is to have any examples at all, I do believe this is a prime example of one to be shown. Flecko forum has over 1130 members, most of which are not members of the MadnessCombat forum. And the members aren't attracted by the intelligent conversation or Kentucky Space Battles. Each has had hundreds of thousands of views when checked at Newgrounds and Albinoblacksheep or whatever. It has had a spinoff game, one of the most popular flash games to my knowledge, with over a hundred mods and millions of views at one site alone. It also has various tributes in various forms, some of which have become popular on their own grounds. Fanbase can be confirmed at Flecko and Madnesscombat as reaching into Scandinavia, Britain, Asia, Mediterranean and Central Europe, Australia (myself, having heard about it from a friend while at a swimming pool) and Southeast Asia. If it fails WP:WEB, I'll suggest it us reformed, because that it excludes this series is a little ridiculous. The church near my home (Church of Latter Day Saints maybe, or Baptists, or something. Some kind of evangelists) even has a letter posted on its message-board calling for a boycott of the series. Definitely notable enough, even if it doesn't meet the requirements. --Switch 12:11, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

*Restore, or Relist Madness Combat is distributed by a multitude of independant websites, and has one of the largest fanbases of any flash movie.

*Endorse deletion AFD deletion was based on the arguments, especially that there was no independent coverage to demonstrate meeting WP:WEB. A claim about a fanbase is not independent coverage meeting WP:WEB unlesss that claim is itself sourced, which this one is not. GRBerry 21:47, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

*Strong endorse It's had its day on AfD, and lost. Plenty of bad-faith action by the creator(s), including a flood of sockpuppets on the AfD and re-creating the article four times (it's now protected). That sort of crap is detrimental to getting the article kept, and besides it doesn'pass WP:WEB anyway. ***It's assumed that you can't see our IP addresses, so how can you possibly know that we're all sock puppets? ****Look up about a screen's length and you'll see my first comment, which links directly to the Newgrounds listings for the Madness Combat series. More than one million views apiece, and remember, that doesn't tally up everywhere else it's been posted. Rainbringer 14:24, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
***Commentdude. look above for stats and sources of those stats. "i don't bellieve you" isn't going to cut it. - Ronny

*Strongest Possible Restore Anyone who voted for deletion has serious mental issues. What the hell is the reason for deletion? This series has a huge fan base, and until now, this place has been my #1 recommended source of information on it. Teh Scarecrow

*Endorse deletion, no violation of process here. Sandstein 11:16, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
*Restore Madness Combat is a massive fanbase with millions of viewers worldwide. How is that not proof enough. The Madness Combat game in UGOplayer has a staggering 14,398,194 views. The next most viewed on UGO has only 4,178,380. Now that should be enough proof. This... Deletion, is detroying flash history-one of the most influential piece of flash, ever.

Vanessa Jean Dedmon

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vanessa Jean Dedmon

Third placed singer of this year's Deutschland sucht den Superstar. Got deleted due to the lack of recordings on her own. Last Friday her debut single Sonnenschein was released. According to the official midweeks (http://www.chart-radio.de/) this song will enter the German single charts between #15 and #25, that gives her notability per WP:MUSIC. -- 217.91.44.123 13:07, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • If she now meets WP:MUSIC, you don't need permission to create a new article. You can just go ahead and do it. However, in your case, since you haven't registered for an account here, you'll have to post the article to Wikipedia:Articles for creation; then someone with an account will put it up for you. --Aaron 13:21, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Undelete with the new evidence, given that there was a valid AfD and this is an anon. --badlydrawnjeff talk 13:33, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy undeleted - clearly notable now. Revise at will. Phil Sandifer 17:36, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Undelete per above PT (s-s-s-s) 19:26, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Endorse deletion per valid afd Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vanessa Jean Dedmon. Seriously. Third placed finisher in a talent show, just released her first single, the crystal ball predicts a high initial placement (how convenient). A perfect example of why we should wait until after something is unambiguously notable before trying to document it. Come back in six months when the album goes platinum, eh? One song does not make a notable musician. Guy 21:37, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Undelete and redirect to Deutschland sucht den SuperStar at the very least. --Ixfd64 21:53, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Endorse closure (keep deleted). I find no process problems in the AFD discussion. I find no new evidence offered here which convinces me that the August decision should be overturned yet. Rossami (talk) 06:23, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hm. A single...uh...single, huh. Come back when she meets WP:MUSIC, keep deleted per a perfectly reasonable AFD until then. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 06:32, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • The very first line item at WP:MUSIC states "Has had a charted hit on any national music chart, in at least one large or medium-sized country." She now meets WP:MUSIC, and arguably met WP:BIO at the time of the AfD anyway. --badlydrawnjeff talk 15:18, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Undelete given the revised situation. --Mhking 15:35, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Undelete The midweeks are less the crystal ball, but the daily sales figures from the official chart company. It is now already 100% sure, that Dedmon will enjoy her first chart hit from next Tuesday on. -- Triebtäter 15:49, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Undelete when the single hits the charts. The AfD was valid, but the situation surrounding Dedmon has changed. Aecis I'm too busy acting like I'm not naive. 16:43, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Undelete per charting single in a major country, thus passing WP:MUSIC. This, by the way, is a textbook example of how the process should work: she was deleted when she wasn't notable, but new information has come up, and she now passes WP:MUSIC, and is being undeleted. That's the way it's supposed to go. Andrew Lenahan - Starblind 17:20, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Undelete per change in situation, procedure was correctly followed though. - Mailer Diablo 09:44, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wicked Lasers

Since this company is often mentioned on blogs and online forums, it seems fairly notable. It even has well over 150,000 Google hits. I've therefore created an article about this company, but it was marked as "spam" and speedily deleted. I've noticed that many people tend to assume bad faith and think that any company-related article is spam. That is certainly not the case. --Ixfd64 18:53, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Undelete - an article can DESCRIBE a subject without ADVERTISING it PT (s-s-s-s) 19:27, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Overturn, does not meet G11. JYolkowski // talk 01:49, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Deleted. Not notable. This actually existed once before and was deleted through AfD. See Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Wicked_laser. --Improv 05:36, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep deleted per Improv, unless someone has a compelling reason to overturn the AfD. Blogs and online forums are not reliable sources. --Sam Blanning(talk) 00:16, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Deleted per above. Naconkantari 14:55, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Deleted per above + sentences like "While Wicked Lasers has often been praised for its uniqueness and customer support, it has also been criticized that its products sometimes do not work as well as advertised (such as outputting lower power than specified)." shouldn't stay in an article without references, and the whole article seems to be blatant advertising of a company. NCurse work 15:03, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - would anyone object if I redirected Wicked Lasers back to laser pointer and expanded there? --Ixfd64 20:01, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
