I have recreated Category:People from Northern Cyprus. @Nederlandse Leeuw: in hindsight, is there a real benefit in renaming the remnants of Category:Turkish Cypriot people to Category:Turkish Cypriots? @Marcocapelle Yes, there is. "Fooian people" is a commonly established formula indicating a nationality of a specific state. But there is no state called "Turkish Cyprus" or "Greek Cyprus". The main article of Category:Turkish Cypriot people is Turkish Cypriots, an ethnicity, not a nationality, and thus it should be renamed per WP:C2D. Category:Greek Cypriot people has Greek Cypriots as main article and should be renamed to Category:Greek Cypriots per WP:C2D as well. NLeeuw (talk) 08:34, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
