Requests for IP check

  • Vandal and attack accounts may be listed here for the purpose identifying and blocking the underlying IP address or open proxy. Requests to confirm sockpuppets of known users should be listed in the sockpuppet section above.
  • If you already know the IP address of the suspected open proxy, list it at Wikipedia:Open Proxies instead.
  • Use === Subsections ===, do not create subpages.
  • List user names using the {{checkuser|username}} template. Add new reports to the top of the section.
  • Requests may be acted on or declined according to the discretion of the checkuser admins. Responses will be noted here.
  • Answered requests will be moved to Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/IP check/Archive for 7 days, after which they will be deleted. No separate archive (other than the page history) will be maintained.

This guy was originally blocked for vandalism & personal attacks two weeks ago, and has come back with a huge sock farm. Every sock then abuses the {{unblock}} template by claiming to not be a sock and accusing unblock reviewers of not assuming good faith. Can we somehow stem this sock parade? Comment List above is hardly complete. Several more can be found here and here, but maybe the above will be sufficient for CheckUser to work with. – Riana 19:20, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Latest JBSockset, as reported on ANI. Need to catch any sleepers and get the open proxies underneath. SirFozzie 17:00, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

added one, and changed the template for the top ones. SirFozzie 18:06, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Emir Arven

In the past few days, there has been a lot of POV pushing, vandalism, attacks, and 3RR violations, and all of them have been from Ips in the range of 85.158.xxx.xxx. A quick WHOIS shows that all of them come from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Looking at the contributions of the IPs, taking into account the language used, the articles edited etc, it is almost certain to assume that they are edits done by Emir Arven (talk · contribs) - a vandalistic, racist, policy violating troll, who currently has an RFC against him (see Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Emir Arven) because of those reasons. These IPs are dynamic, and I am asking that the IPs in the 85.158.xxx.xxx range that have been attacking Balkan related articles be blocked and have their proxy or whateevr blocked so these IPs won't keep coming back everyday. Below are some examples of 3RR violations from the most recent IP.

User talk:KillerChihuahua (edit | [[Talk:User talk:KillerChihuahua|talk]] | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views). 85.158.32.6 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log):

  • Previous version reverted to: [1]
  • 1st revert: [2]
  • 2nd revert: [3]
  • 3rd revert: [4]
  • 4th revert: [5]
  • 5th revert: [6]

Note these diffs as well, as they are very close to breakign teh rule, and almost certainly will be broken soon.

Bosniaks (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)

User talk:Ancient Land of Bosoni (edit | [[Talk:User talk:Ancient Land of Bosoni|talk]] | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)

Articles that he has reverted twice so far in the past 15 minutes are Bosnian language (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), Bosnian Church (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), and many more (refer to this).

It should also be noted that Emir Arven has been blocked 10 times including 4 times for 3RR violations.

Please stop "these" anonymous vandals. Thank you. KingIvan 10:40, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Clerk note: Moved from the IP check section. -- lucasbfr talk 12:43, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Clerk note: 3 code letters were cited. This request is not compliant. I will move this request to the non-compliant section until there is only 1 letter cited. Also, there are many IPs listed. "Included IP addresses" is a reason for non-compliance as well. Funpika 18:07, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mr oompapa et al.

  • Code letter: A

This editor has an modem he keeps resetting and creating abusive accounts. He has created all of these today and is creating them generally every 5 minutes or so. He knows he is gaming the system. I am requestng a check to find an underlying IP range and block it temporarily to prevent this editor from gaming the system. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 16:02, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Note: The User:Darkness of meta sent out all these emails to possibly nearlly every single user who uses a wiki-email on this site (Including me which I was emailed one on April 4th). Whilst it may be for personal information. The email seemed to be promoting some kind of Conspiracy about Wikipedia, and notifying the user who's personal information was used. They stated they Did not. Reply to the email so somehow the personal information has by retrieved in a different place completely. I personally think the Mr oompapa should be banned for this. I've found this new account: Mr oompapa on the moon (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki) - Kariteh 16:21, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It was unblocked so I blocked, I'll add to the list Ryan Postlethwaite 16:26, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
He started again today, i am adding more. I would like to find an underlying IP range, or at least the ISP if possible. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 16:49, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: Based on the ANI discussion I strongly recommend priority attention for this request. Can someone ding the appropriate channel or something! Newyorkbrad 23:38, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That was meant to be a ? rather than a !, sorry. Editing on a Blackberry on a moving train will do that. Newyorkbrad 00:15, 19 April 2007 (UTC) [reply]

I'm working on this now. Mackensen (talk) 00:09, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Range block not possible. Sorry. Mackensen (talk) 00:33, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can you get an ISP? -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 03:55, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another one, if it helps. MER-C 12:30, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hinomaru

Persistent vandal with a long history of sockpuppet usages (here is the list of his 124 sockpuppet accounts for reference). A checkuser request had been made and completed two weeks ago (see [8]), but the vandal has returned with other IPs. Kariteh 13:18, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
