11 points in the Negev (Hebrew: 11 הנקודות, 11 HaNekudot) was a Jewish Agency settlement operation in 1946 carried out in order to create a Jewish presence in the Negev desert prior to any partition of the British Mandate of Palestine.[1] This followed the publication of the Morrison Grady plan for partition, which took the Negev out of the Jewish state, and resulted in Jewish settlement in the area being prohibited;[2] together the Jewish National Fund, the Jewish Agency, the Haganah and the Mekorot water company decided to launch a settlement drive to populate the Negev with Jews and hopefully retain it in a Jewish state.[2]

The settlement occurred overnight following the end of Yom Kippur, i.e. the night of 5-6 October, with the new settlers setting out from existing kibbutzim such as Ruhama and Gvulot.[3][4]

Today a museum celebrating the eleven points is located in Revivim.[5] In 1996 Israel Post released a stamp celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of their settlement.[2]
