The 2018 AFC Cup qualifying play-offs are scheduled to be played from 22 January to 20 February 2018.[1] A total of 11 teams compete in the qualifying play-offs to decide four of the 36 places in the group stage of the 2018 AFC Cup.[2]

Originally 13 teams entered the qualifying play-offs (6 entered in the preliminary round, 7 entered in the play-off round) before the disqualification of teams in the ASEAN Zone.

Notes

  1. ^ a b c The identity of the play-off teams from Turkmenistan, Bangladesh and Cambodia was not known at the time of the group stage draw.
  2. ^ a b On 14 December 2017, the AFC announced that Lao Toyota, the play-off team from Laos, were ruled ineligible to play in the 2018 AFC Cup due to match manipulation during the 2015 and 2016 AFC Cup.[3]. No other teams were eligible to replace them. As a result, Boeung Ket Angkor, the play-off team from Cambodia (whose identity was not known at the time of Lao Toyota's disqualification), advanced directly from the play-off round to the group stage, and the ASEAN zone play-off would be not played.
