Borna Ćorić is the defending champion.[1]

Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic are in contention for the ATP No. 1 singles ranking. Djokovic must at least reach the final in order to have a chance at regaining the top ranking. If Alcaraz reaches the semfinals, Djokovic will have to win the title to regain the No. 1 ranking. Alcaraz will retain the No. 1 ranking by reaching the final. This is Djokovic's first tournament in the United States since the 2021 US Open, following the lifting of COVID-19 vaccination requirements for international air travelers in May 2023.[2]
