Shaarib Hashmi[1] is an Indian Bollywood actor, known for the Oscar-winning movie Slumdog Millionaire (2008), the National Award-winning movie Filmistaan (2012) and Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012). He made his film debut with the 2008 Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire and acted in a more in-depth role in 2012 with the drama film Jab Tak Hai Jaan.[2] Recently he did work on Amazon Prime show The Family Man and Voot Select's hit show Asur.

Early life and education

Sharib Hashmi was born in Malad, India, into a middle-class family. His father, Z. A. Johar, was a noted film journalist. He did his schooling from St. John's Model English High School and graduated from Bhavan's College in Mumbai, India.[3]
