- 14 January: Fires burn over 550 shelters and 150 shops in Nayapara refugee camp in Cox's Bazar, displacing over 3,500 refugees. The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), World Food Programme (WFP), Inter Sector Coordination Group (ISCG), and Bangladesh Red Crescent have responded to assist affected people.[1]
