Zack Scott (born 1977 or 1978) is an American baseball executive currently serving as the General Manager of the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB). Scott was originally hired as the Mets' Assistant General Manager in 2020 before being promoted as General Manager on an interim basis after the firing of Jared Porter.[1] Scott is an alumnus of the University of Vermont, having earned a BS in mathematics there in 1999. Before joining the Mets in December 2020, Scott worked in the Boston Red Sox organization for 17 years, ending his tenure as an assistant GM.[2][3]
