She was featured on Asia's 100 Digital Stars, released by Forbes magazine on 7 December 2020.[1]

Early life

Moni was born as Shamsunnahar Smriti, in Shatkhira in Khulna, Bangladesh.[citation needed] After losing her parents in childhood, she grew up in Pirojpur her grandfather house. She completed her Secondary and Higher secondary examination here.[2]

Career

Moni started her career with modelling after passing her Higher Secondary School in 2012. She acted in some of her TV Commercials are Pran Up with Arifin Shuvoo and Sandalina Soap, Pran Chutney, Topper Gas Stove, Jamuna Refrigerator etc. She had worked at four Bangla drama including 2nd Innings which already have been circulated in television channels. Her first Bangla film, Rana Plaza, based on Rana Plaza disaster, started shooting in 2013.[3] But this movie wasn't passed by the censor-board stating that this is a national disaster and people might get wrong notions about it.[4] Finally her Bhalobasha Shimaheen released on 13 February 2015. She stated, "I am putting my foot on the big screen by Bhalobasha Shimaheen and I hope everyone will like the film." She co-acted with Shakib Khan in the film Aro Bhalobashbo Tomay and Dhumketu.[citation needed]
