Margan (Template:Lang-fa, also Romanized as Mārgān; also known as Marghān, Mārgūn, and Morghān)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Margan Rural District of the Central District of Hirmand County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 207 in 45 households, when it was in the former Hirmand District of Zabol County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 180 people in 52 households.[6] By the time of the census, Hirmand District had been separated from Zabol County to form Hirmand County. It was then divided into the Central and Qorqori Districts.[4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 219 people in 72 households.[2]
