The Central District of Farahan County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان فراهان) is in Markazi province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Farmahin.

At the National Census in 2006, the region's population (as the former Farahan District of Tafresh County) was 22,742 in 6,666 households.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 17,118 people in 5,612 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Farahan County.[4] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 16,237 inhabitants in 5,685 households.[2]
