The Sea-to-Sea Route is a proposed 7,700 mi (12,392 km) hiking trail connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans in the northern United States. The trail would connect 8 existing scenic trails, and was proposed in 1996 by Ron Strickland, founder of the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail.
The longest existing trail in the route is the North Country National Scenic Trail, a 4,400 mi (7,081 km) trail between New York and North Dakota.
