David Lichens is an American guitarist, singer and songwriter.

Career

In 1995 he joined Christian rock band Petra. He subsequently moved to Los Angeles, where his demos caught the attention of EMI Publishing. He is currently leading the band The Heavy Steadies.

Lichens' songs and compositions have been featured in several film soundtracks. His single "Let Go" was included on the movie soundtrack She's the Man, and others have been featured in films including Saved!, After Sex, and The Water Horse, and the TV show Everwood.

Lichens was a producer on Fefe Dobson's third studio album, Joy, released in 2010. He co-wrote four songs on the album, including the singles "Watch Me Move"[1] and "I'm a Lady".[2]

Lichens has also worked with former American Idol contestant Jason Castro and Castro's younger brother Michael. Lichens recently[when?] finished producing Rebekah White, for Printz Board's (Black Eyed Peas) company BEETS and PRODUCE.
