WKXV (900 AM and WKXV-FM 100.7, "Knoxville's Best") is a radio station broadcasting a religious format.[1] Licensed to serve Knoxville, Tennessee, United States, the station serves the Knoxville area. The station is currently owned by Ra-Tel Broadcasting Company, Inc.[2]

WKXV has been consistent in its format since 1953. WKXV is host to many different denominations among the various local and national religious/talk programs. Many of the locally produced programs are broadcast live from the WKXV studios. Some are broadcast from their church via live remote or tape delayed. WKXV broadcasts community news, local church events, and other function several times daily.

The station pioneered a Religious Format here in East Tennessee. WKXV is locally owned and operated by Ratel Broadcasting Co. Inc., and operates on a daytime power of 1000 watts and late night power of 258 watts as authorized by the Federal Communications Commission in Washington D.C.

WKXV Radio began broadcasting February 14, 1953. WKXV broadcasts 50% Religious/Talk Programming and devotes the other 50% to Southern, Traditional, and Christian Country Gospel Music. WKXV broadcasts many nationally syndicated Religious programs as well as many locally produced programs produced by area churches, pastors and evangelists.

More than fifteen counties in East Tennessee can be reached daily with WKXV's strong signal. The population in the Primary coverage areas exceeds 800,000 persons with a median family income exceeding that of the national average.
