The Ghana Baptist University College is a university college located at Kumasi in Ghana. Its establishment in November 2006 was announced by the Ghana Baptist Convention.[1] The university has been granted accreditation by the National Accreditation Board. The school is one of the leading names in terms of private universities in the nation.[2]

History

The Ghana Baptist University has been formed partly from the Ghana Baptist Seminary. The Ghana Baptist University institution is affiliated to the University of Cape Coast through its Department for the Study of Religions.[3]

Campus

The university has two campuses.[1] They are:

  • City Campus - Amakom
  • Abuakwa campus - Abuakwa
  • The Ghana Baptist Seminary at Abuakwa is part of the new university.

The university college has four programmes.[2]

  • B.Sc Business Administration with options in;
    • Banking & Finance,
    • Human Resource Management,
    • Accounting, Marketing and Entrepreneurship
  • Bachelor of Theology
  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Bachelor of Education in English
  • Bachelor of Education in French

  • Diploma in Church Music
  • Diploma in Theology

Post-Graduate Programmes include:[5]

  • MBA (Finance)
  • MBA (General Management)
  • Master of Arts in Ministry
