Jorge Alcocer Varela (born 8 February 1946) is a Mexican healthcare professional. He is a former researcher at the Salvador Zubirán National Institute of Health Sciences and Nutrition. He is expected to be appointed as the Mexican Minister of Public Health by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.[1]
