Avan Aval Adhu (lit. 'He, She and That') is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language film dealing with the then-groundbreaking issue of surrogate pregnancy, directed by Muktha Srinivasan and produced by S. Sundar.[1] The film stars Sivakumar, Lakshmi, Sripriya and Thengai Srinivasan in lead roles. The film had musical score by M. S. Viswanathan.[2][3] The movie was based on the story Oru Singam Muyalaagirathu written by Sivasankari.[4][5] The film was remade in Telugu as Samsaram Santhanam.

Despite being significantly different from the source material, the film was well received critically and commercially.[6]
