Hang Tuah Jaya is a municipality and de facto state capital of Melaka, Malaysia. It is home to the Seri Negeri, the state government complex.

Geography

Hang Tuah Jaya is located in the northern portion of Central Melaka District, adjacent to Kota Melaka, as well as some areas of Alor Gajah and Jasin regions. Hang Tuah Jaya includes much of Ayer Keroh.

It covers an area of 35,733.04 acres (14,460.65 ha).[1]

Government

Hang Tuah Jaya is governed by the Hang Tuah Jaya Municipal Council, headquartered at Melaka Mall.
