Appelsín is a fizzy orange-flavored soft drink, manufactured by Egill Skallagrímsson Brewery in Iceland since 1955.[2] The products are accompanied by the slogan ‚hið eina sanna‘, meaning 'the one and only‘.[3] During Christmastime, it's traditionally mixed with Malt (Maltextrakt),[4] called Jólaöl (Christmas ale),[5] also available pre-mixed.[6] The trick is to first pour Appelsín and then the Malt, to prevent the foam from overflowing.[7][8]
