Jhor Mahankal is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Tokha Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 4103 and had 873 households in it.Jhor is famoush for Baundeshwor Gufa(Baruneshwor in Swosthani katha)and for the waterfalls.Different caste people lives here mainly Adhikari, Lamichanne,Dulal,Bidari and Tamang are found more.Jhor is not more far the heart of kathmandu just 7 km.The Jhor Bus station is also located at Simachour(shimchour). Various Buses including Micro buses run to Samakhusi, and to the Ratnapark directly.
