Neratovice (Czech pronunciation: [ˈnɛratovɪtsɛ]; German: Neratowitz) is a town in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has around 16,000 inhabitants. The Spolana chemical plant is located there. The town is part of the Prague metropolitan area and is located next to the town of Libiš.
History
Until 1918, the town was part of the Austrian monarchy (Austria side after the compromise of 1867), in the Karolinenthal (Karlín) district, one of the 94 Bezirkshauptmannschaften in Bohemia.[2]
A post-office was opened in 1874.
