Erik Hurtado (born November 15, 1990) is an American soccer player who currently plays as a forward for Sporting Kansas City in Major League Soccer.

Career

Hurtado was drafted fifth overall in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft by Vancouver Whitecaps FC on January 17, 2013.[2] Hurtado scored his first MLS goal against Columbus Crew on May 10, 2014. The lone goal earned the Whitecaps their first road win of the season.[3]

Hurtado was traded to Sporting Kansas City on December 14, 2018, in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft and a first-round pick in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft.[4]
