This is an old revision of this page, as edited by 146.185.34.216 (talk) at 14:14, 2 May 2020 (I have added the historical fact that the village is also inhabited by an indigenous Shia population. I have presented an archived link in Arabic to back that up. According to the former head of the municipal council, the Shia presence in Metrit predated the Maronite presence. The village was subject to sectarian dispute between the LF part and it's Shia inhabitants over choosing municipal council members. Mitrit (Arabic: متريت) is a mixed Shia Muslim and Maronite village in the Koura District, Lebanon of Lebanon.
