U.S. Open Straight Pool Championship

The U.S. Open Straight Pool Championship is a pool tournament held in the United States, and one of the few featuring the discipline of straight pool. After being disbanded for sixteen years, the event was resurrected in 2016.

Current tournament format

Up to 48 players participate in this event. The first phase of the tournament is a double-elimination format with the top 16 seeds receiving byes into the remaining 16 players enter a single-elimination phase with the top finisher in each group receiving a bye into the quarterfinals. Once 16 players remain, the single-elimination second phase is held to determine the champion.
