Dhurnal is a town and an administrative subdivision, of Chakwal District in the Punjab Province of Pakistan, it is part of Tehsil Lawa[1] and is located at 32°47'60N 72°5'60E.[2] Surrounded by Soon Valley from south, and linked with road via Dhoke pandal, kahar Ghool (uc Lawa)Thoa Mahram Khan from east, the greater Lawa from west and Kot Qazi, Mial, Laiti, Bidhar, Venhar etc. from north.

This constitutes the overall population of about 70,000. Dhurnal is one of the most densely populated Union Council of the Chakwal (District).

Welfare Trust

Dhurnal welfare trust is newly developing Welfare institution, which is helping the needy and deserving people of Dhurnal. This Welfare Trust is founded by Naveed Khaliq Awan (President Youth Wing PMLQ). Another Welfare trust Tanzeem Al khidmat is running by Qazi Hafiz Ali. And another NGO Having Name"Global Foundation" Founded By Muhammad Rizwan Awan.

The another well known association DIYA(Dhurnal Intellectual Cough Association)" دیا" ، founded and chaired by Engineer Malik Nawab khan in 2012 working for green & green village and promoting social and peaceful activities.

Also Aljahad trust, chaired by mr yakoob salikh, Jinnah association are also working in area.

Education Hub

Dhurnal is an emerging education city and technology hub for surrounding areas.

Universities

Allama Iqbal International Open University is establishing its campus in Dhurnal near Rati Dheri point in the mid of 2016. It would be only campus of AIOU even in the whole Chakwal District.

Jamia Ghosia Anwar-ul-Quran and Jamia Khulfa-e-Rashideen are offering degree programs in Islamic studies to boys and girls of area.
