Aditya Dhar is an Indian writer, director and lyricist. He made his directorial debut with Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019), which was based on the 2016 Uri attack. He won the best director award for this film at the 66th National Film Awards in 2019.
Dhar has been associated in the past with films like Kabul Express, Tezz, Aakrosh, Haal-e-Dil among others in different capacities like dialogue writer, screenplay writer and lyrics writer.
His schooling is from Guru Harkrishan Public School, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi.He was the sports captain of the school in the year 1997.He is a graduate from Delhi University.
