Vestfold County Municipality (Norwegian: Vestfold fylkeskommune) was until 1 January 2020 the regional governing administration of Vestfold, Norway, before merging with neighbouring Telemark County Municipality to form Vestfold og Telemark County Municipality. The main responsibilities of the county municipality included the running of ten upper secondary schools with 8,500 pupils in addition to Skiringssal Folk High School.[1] It administrated the county roadways, public transport, dental care, culture and cultural heritage. The county council had 39 members, and from 2015 to 2019, Chairman of the County Council was Rune Hogsnes of the Conservative Party. Chief administrative officer was Egil Johansen.[2] The administrative seat was located in Tønsberg.
