Ronald Aldon Hicks (born August 4, 1967) is an American prelate of the Catholic Church who serves as auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Chicago. He was appointed Bishop of Joliet on July 17, 2020.

Biography

On May 21, 1994, Hicks was ordained to the priesthood. Pope Francis appointed Hicks titular bishop of Munatiana and auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Chicago on July 3, 2018.[1][2] On September 17, 2018, Hicks was consecrated a bishop by Cardinal Blaise Cupich of Chicago joined by two retiring Auxiliary Bishops of Chicago, Francis J. Kane and George J. Rassas.[3]

On July 17, 2020, Hicks was named Bishop of the Diocese of Joliet. He is scheduled to be installed on September 29, 2020.[4][5]
