List of reptiles of Great Britain

Ten or eleven species of reptiles occur in Great Britain: three[1] snakes and three lizards, which were established at the time of the last ice age. Additionally, Britain has a number of introduced species which have become naturalized in their new environments.
Sea turtles have been recorded as coastal vagrants and the red-eared terrapin occurs as an introduced species.
Snakes
- Adder, Vipera berus
- Barred grass snake, Natrix helvetica[2][a]
- Smooth snake, Coronella austriaca
Lizards
- Slowworm, Anguis fragilis
- Viviparous (or common) lizard, Zootoca vivipara
- Sand lizard, Lacerta agilis
Sea turtles
- Leatherback sea turtle, Dermochelys coriacea – foraging[3]
- Loggerhead sea turtle, Caretta caretta – vagrant[4]
- Green sea turtle Chelonia mydas – vagrant[5]
- Hawksbill sea turtle Eretmochelys imbricata – vagrant[5]
- Kemp's ridley sea turtle Lepidochelys kempii – vagrant[5]
- Olive ridley sea turtle Lepidochelys olivacea – vagrant[6]

- European pond turtle, Emys orbicularis[9]
- Common wall lizard, Podarcis muralis[10]
- Western green lizard, Lacerta bilineata[11]
