History

  • First broadcast on March 1, 1987 as Z 105, under the call sign as DYMZ, owned by Capricorn Production & Management Corporation.
  • The station changed identity to 105.9 Wild FM, with the call sign changed to DYWC on April 4, 1994, under UM Broadcasting Network. The station was an English-language station which carried a dance-leaning Top 40 format, until the acquisition from Ditan Communications in 2002.
  • However, on May 1, 2000, UMBN sold the station to Audiovisual Communicators, which also bought by Capricorn Production & Management Corporation and became Monster Radio BT 105.9, adopted a mainstream Top 40 format. The station had changed the call sign to DYBT.
  • In 2016, the station transferred from its studio and transmitter in Mango Square Mall to its current location in East Aurora Tower, and adopted its current slogan "Cebu's Hottest". The station's slogan is the catchphrase used by its flagship station in Manila.
