Henry Lancelot Holland

Henry Lancelot Holland (1808 - 24 January 1893) was Governor of the Bank of England from 1865 to 1867. He was born in Dorking, Surrey in 1808. Holland was Deputy Governor from 1863 to 1865. He replaced Kirkman Daniel Hodgson as Governor and was succeeded by Thomas Newman Hunt.[1] Holland's tenure as Governor occurred during the Panic of 1866.

Holland died on 24 January 1893 in London, aged 84.
