Chilumuru is a village in the Guntur district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in the Kollur mandal of Tenali revenue division.[2]

Geography

Chilumuru is situated to the north of the mandal headquarters, Kolluru,[4] at 16°13′49″N 80°47′04″E / 16.2302916°N 80.7844066°E / 16.2302916; 80.7844066. It is spread over an area of 475 ha (1,170 acres).[2]

Government and politics

Chilumuru gram panchayat is the local self-government of the village.[1] It is divided into wards and each ward is represented by a ward member.[5] The village forms a part of Andhra Pradesh Capital Region and is under the jurisdiction of APCRDA.[6]

Education

As per the school information report for the academic year 2018–19, the village has a total of 6 schools. These include 3 MPP and 3 private schools.[7]
