Safipur is a town in Unnao district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The town's name comes from the name of a Muslim Sufi saint, Maqdoom Shah Safi. Safipur is connected with major highways, 27 km from its district headquarters Unnao.

Demographics

According to the Indian census of 2001,[1] Safipur had a population of 22,402. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. In Safipur, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.
