Jiras Art Gallery was the fifth art gallery established in Dhaka, Bangladesh, after Dhaka Art College Gallery, Gallery East Pakistan Arts Council Gallery (now Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Art Gallery), Art Ensemble (at Dhanmondi) and Desh Gallery (at Indira Road).[1][2]

Founded by journalist and entrepreneur Aftabuddin Ahmed and M. M. Yacoob in Shahbag, the gallery was the third established by non-government initiative.[1][2] By 1970, when the gallery was established, only the government galleries founded earlier were still surviving. It was the first art gallery to practice commerce in art in Bangladesh.
