The Atlantic Canada Organization of Research Networks - Nova Scotia (ACORN-NS) operates an ORAN (Optical Regional Advanced Network) in Nova Scotia, Canada.

ACORN-NS runs the Nova Scotia GigaPOP (Gigabit point of presence), and is Nova Scotia's partner in Canada's Advanced Network Alliance, the CANARIE CAnet 4 national high speed research and education network.

Members of ACORN-NS include most of the province's universities, several major provincial and federal government departments and organizations, and some smaller community and regional networks.

ACORN-NS exists to operate, support and promote advanced networking connecting health services, community, research and education resources to aid in the growth of a knowledge-based economy and society in Nova Scotia.
