The discography of Alter Bridge, an American rock band, includes five studio albums, four live albums, one box set, one extended play (EP), eighteen singles, two video albums, and ten music videos. Formed in Orlando, Florida in 2004, Alter Bridge consists of vocalist and guitarist Myles Kennedy and Creed members Mark Tremonti (guitar, backing vocals), Brian Marshall (bass), and Scott Phillips (drums).[1] The band released its debut album One Day Remains on August 10, 2004 on Wind-up Records, which reached number five on the US Billboard 200.[2] The album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on November 8, 2004,[3] while two of the three singles from the album reached the top ten of the US Billboard Mainstream Rock chart – "Open Your Eyes" peaked at number two and "Find the Real" peaked at number seven.[4]
After signing with Universal Republic Records, the group released its second album Blackbird on October 5, 2007.[1] The album peaked at number 13 on the US Billboard 200,[2] reached the top 40 of the UK Albums Chart,[5] and was certified silver by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).[6] The lead single "Rise Today" reached number two on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart,[4] while "Ties That Bind" reached number two on the UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart.[7] Alter Bridge's first video album, Live from Amsterdam, was released on September 12, 2009, reaching number six on the Billboard Music Video Sales chart.[8] Upon its release as a live album the following year, it reached the top ten of the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart.[9]
Alter Bridge's third album, AB III, was released on Roadrunner Records on October 8, 2010,[10] reaching number 17 on the Billboard 200 and the top ten of the UK Albums Chart.[2][5] The album's lead single "Isolation" was the band's first to top the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart,[4] as well their highest-charting on the Alternative Songs and Hot Rock Songs charts, peaking at number 20 and number five, respectively.[11][12] A special edition of the album titled AB III.5 was released on October 25, 2011.[13] The band's second live/video album Live at Wembley: European Tour 2011 was released on March 26, 2012, reaching number 31 on the UK Albums Chart and number three on the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart.[5][9]
The band released its fourth studio album, Fortress, on September 25, 2013, which charted at number 12 on the Billboard 200 and number six on the UK Albums Chart.[2][5] A limited edition 27-disc box set entitled Alter Bridge X was released on August 25, 2014 to celebrate the band's tenth anniversary, containing every studio, live, and video album released to date, as well as several documentaries and behind the scenes features.[14] Their fifth studio album, The Last Hero, followed on Napalm Records on October 7, 2016, which debuted at number eight on the Billboard 200 (the band's first top ten on the chart since One Day Remains) and a career peak of number three on the UK Albums Chart.[15][5] Alter Bridge's third live album, Live at the O2 Arena + Rarities, was released on September 8, 2017. The band's fourth live album, Live at the Royal Albert Hall, was released on September 7, 2018.
