Does WP support that Jewry is a nationality rather than a faith?
[edit]WP should replace "descent" with "faith" otherwise it appears that WP endorses the idea that it is not a faith but a genetic development. Hitler's approach to this isue was that it was genetic regradless of how many generations it had been wne the person's ancestors had been active practitioners. We do not quate the same connotation for any other religious practice. By this action WP is endorsing that the practice of Jewry is only legitimate by those who are Jewish. That is not the reason for faith.66.74.176.59 (talk) 02:19, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
- I notice you have raised this same question at Category talk:Jews and Judaism and have edited a number of articles, changing "of Jewish descent" to a variety of phrases including "of the Sephardi Jewish experience", "of practioners of the Jewish faith" and "of practitioners of Jewry" - none of them improvements. If you wish to change Wikipedia's long-established practices in this regard, a change which will not simply affect the Category namespace, you can propose it at venues such as WP:VPR or WP:VPP.
