Is this category really only for navboxes? If so, we need a new category.
[edit]The box at the top of this category says, "The pages listed in this category are meant to be navigation templates." In other words, Template:Category has the parameter type set to navbox. However, Template:Japan-book-stub isn't a navbox, and Category:Country data templates of subdivisions of Japan isn't even called navbox-only on its own category page.
So, how do we categorize Japan-related templates that are not navboxes, such as Template:JPN, in a way that collects it for use for people interested in editing those articles?
- Keep the current situation: Add them or don't to Category:Japan templates anyway, depending on the whim of editors, since there is no alternative & no instructions.
- Add them to Category:Japan templates, but actively and after changing the Template:Category parameter type to whatever is appropriate.
- Seek solutions from other county category "sets" before deciding (which I cannot predict if I can do myself, but it's unlikely).
- Create a new category & disambiguate it with this one.
- ...or something else I haven't thought of yet.
Sorry all I can do is ask or suggest this, but my real-life limitations are getting in the way of doing this myself. If someone does this, would you use the notification system to please let me know when it's done or you want my opinion on something? I'm very interested, although I truly can't be relied upon, as I explain on my user page. Thanks in advance! — Geekdiva (talk) 05:26, 26 December 2015 (UTC)
