Chaliyam is a small village near Feroke in Kerala State, India.Famous Battle of Chaliyam was taken place here on 1571 against Portuguese. The Zamorin's army took and destroyed the strategically located fort.Chaliyam is also famous for Khalasi[1]

Chaliyam village is surrounded by Chaliyar River on three sides and the Arabian Sea on the west.
